In Vehicle Testing

For testing batteries that are connected to and installed in a vehicle. An In Vehicle Test includes a Battery Test and a System (Starter and Charging) Test.

In vehicle testing includes several key testing abilities unique to the MVT battery tester.

  • Quick Test – The ability to test a battery without any inputs such as CCA rating, battery chemistry or post type
  • Engine Start Diagnostics – Used to obtain a good or replace decision in scenarios where indecisiveness or no decision was the result
    • Vehicle System Noise
    • Charge and Retest Decisions
    • Battery Rating is unknown
  • Discharged Battery Test – Used to obtain a good or replace decision in scenarios where the battery voltage is too low for a decision
    • User is required to have a jump starter or battery charger to perform this function
  • Single Step System Tester – The ability to test the starter and alternator just by starting the engine.
    • System test time is 10 seconds
    • No need to rev the engine
    • No need to change the load status of the vehicle during testing
